Happy days & nights to you! This Saturday, 13 June, is a very special occasion that we hope to share with you all- the TWENTY-FIRST anniversary of our flagship night, NOCTURNA! If Nocturna were a person, it could finally legally get sloshed. ;) Whether you are over 18 or over 21, we look forward to seeing you there to thank you for your friendship and patronage & have a great time! **NOCTURNA is the ONLY 18+ alternative dance night in Chicago!**

Nocturna, celebrating its 21st year tonight, is an 18+ dark alternative dance night held once every other month (or so) in Chicago. DJ Scary Lady Sarah flies in from Berlin, Germany to spin a highly request-driven mix of current & classic goth, industrial, post-punk, deathrock, ethereal, shoegaze, new wave, ebm, darkwave, dark indie & more.

To add to this special anniversary party night for Nocturna, we are very pleased to present the return of the amazing READ OUR HIPS belly-dance troupe for a special Nocturna-centric performance!

We also will have cd giveaways throughout the night and little prizes for everyone! :)

Bring a bit of extra spending cash because local artist extraordinarie Charlotte Hammond will be vending her gorgeous handmade jewelry of "stone, glass, and wirework in a delicate balance."
Also on offer this night will be our very own Scary Lady Sarah's odd, amusing & delightful pin badges ("One Inch Worlds"!) Adorn yourself silly!

We've shown you how much fun burlesque can be. Now we're going to show you the sexy side of the tease. Vaudezilla Productions – Chicago's premiere source for free burlesque – teams up with Absolut Vodka and Exit Chicago to bring you "The Absolut Sexy Show: A Burlesque Sextravaganza."

Outside, this show will kick off with a punk rock red carpet, where you can see our performers as they arrive – and maybe even get a picture with your favorite strip-tease seductress!

Inside, we turn up the heat with TWO different sets of sexy burlesque acts (11pm and 2am), hosted by Vaudezilla's scintillating and scrumptious Red Hot Annie. And all night long, you can enjoy $3 Absolut drink specials and a ton of free stuff, courtesy of Vaudezilla and Absolut Vodka.

Here are the Sirens of the Strip that will treat you right late into the night: Red Hot Annie, Donna Touch, Maria May I, Paris Green, Naughty Natanya, Titi Touché, Natasha Minsk, Lula Houp-Garou, Violet Vogue, Bizarre Sally, Dizzy Lizzy Delicious, Lola Martinet, Tila von Twirl, and The Flaming Dames.

We would love, love, love to have the after party at Exit. What time is the ride usually over? Our first show is at 11pm and the second is at 2am.
What would be awesome is to get pictures of you scantily clad bicyclists trapsing up the red carpet after your ride...
I dig, I dig!! :)
What details must we work out? I'm sure there are some rules regarding covering the naughty bits in a bar, but if we can walk around in pasties/g-string, I'm sure y'all'll be fine. If we are the official after-party, I'd love to promote that on my end, too!!

It's been sternly suggested that this event is a tad salacious for the actively non-sexual WNBR to want association.
But I and others consider Chicago burlesque to be female empowered, Exit has history, and management is welcoming.
On balance, I felt it should be offered as an option for 21+.
